Circulation
Books and magazines may be checked out for a one-month period. Reference reserves (marked with an "R" on the spine) may be checked out only overnight. Current magazines and some materials needed for specific class projects may not be able to be checked out. Overdue Materials Although no fines are currently charged for overdue books, students will not be allowed to check out more materials if they have books that are overdue. Also, after two months, students will be billed for the replacement value and cataloging fees of the material. While in the Library Students are asked to respect the two main library rules, "respect other people", and "respect library materials." This means that loud talking, food and drink are not allowed at any time in the library. Students who are disruptive will be asked to leave the library and repeat offenders will be referred to the Assistant Principal and will be suspended from the library for a time specified by the library director. Computer Use Policy The computer lab in the library is primarily for academic and research purposes. Students who are not in regular class time will be allowed to use the computers for recreational reasons as long as they are not needed by others for legitimate school purposes. This means that the only times students may use the computers for leisure purposes are before and after school and during the student's lunch period. Failure to abide by this rule will result in the suspension of the student's computer use for a time specified by the library director. |
