Plagiarism and YouIt is sometimes difficult to avoid unintentional plagiarism. Avoid this type of academic dishonesty by educating yourself on what plagiarism is and learn strategies for avoiding it by visiting the "Tech Tips" page in the staff section of this web site. Ryan White Digital ArchiveRyan White was an amazing young man who happened to contract the AIDS virus during a blood transfusion when he was just 13. He moved to Cicero in 1984 to try to fulfill his final wish: finishing high school. During his time at Hamilton Heights High School, Ryan inspired and amazed the country with his ability to change people's preconceptions about the AIDS virus. Many of today's attitudes about AIDS were formed during this young man's lifetime and as a result of his efforts. There are several videos, pictures, and print sources that have been in storage in the back of the library since Ryan's time at Hamilton Heights. These materials continue to decay, so an effort to digitally preserve them is now underway. Check out the progress so far at the Ryan White Digital Archives at www.ryan.riverturn.org. Please see Mrs. Reed in the library if you would like to help preserve these historically important materials. |
